This week I found inspiration while waiting on my cup of coffee to arrive. I decided to sketch the table stacked with coffee cups and the wall next to looked interesting with all contrasting textures. I really wanted to get the details down in the most efficient way possible. Especially as there were a lot of cups I had to make it look like I drew every one by outlining the overall shape first then going back and adding the lips of each cup. I treated the textured bricks on the wall in a similar way – using loose lines that gave an overall shape of where the bricks were, then added more of the pealing paint lines to fill out the texture.
